Digital Enterprise Technology(DET) is “the collection of systems and methods for the digital modelling and analysis of the global product development and realisation process, in the context of lifecycle management.”The principal aim of DET 2007 is to provide an international forum for the exchange of leading edge scientific knowledge and industrial experience regarding the development and integration of the various aspects of DET.
DET2007 addressed the key areas of DET, from the digital definition of products to the modelling and optimisation of processes, factories and production networks. New research in PDM/PLM and Enterprise Integration was also reported. Four special sessions were organised seeking to cluster the contributions and discussions in new and emerging areas including, “Emergent Syntheses in Complex Networks”, “Verification of Products, Processes and Systems”, “Production Systems Evolution” and“Interoperability”. DET2007 also facilitated the exploration of future and evolving standards for the application of DET technologies by the international research community. |
